KNUCKLEHEADS MANIFESTO
I. League Structure
Franchises:
The league shall be composed of 14 franchises, divided into two divisions (each with 7 teams).
The divisions shall be named the Bloody Mary Division and Steak Sandwich Division.
Governance:
The league shall be composed of the League Commissioner, the Board of Directors, and the General Ownership.
League Commissioner will oversee all league activities and manage the website.
The Board of Directors shall be composed of:
- Commissioner
- Chief Financial Officer who will collect and distribute money.
- Chief Operations Officer who will manage accounting and book keeping.
- Bloody Mary President who will participate in voting for any league disputes/amendments.
- Steak Sandwich President who will participate in voting for any league disputes/amendments.
The General Ownership shall be composed of all franchise owners in the league.
Divisional Presidents can change each year; the owners with the best record in each division after the playoffs,
will be the President of their division for the following season. (If the commissioner, CFO, or COO have the best record in a division,
the next best team will be the President). Commissioner has the option of selecting Divisional Presidents each year if he so chooses.
II. Fees/Debits/Credits
Entry Fee = A team’s outstanding balance for franchise activity during the preceding season.
Should the total outstanding balance be less than $150, the Entry Fee will be $150.
The annual entry fee shall be used to secure the ownership of each franchise for the season.
Annual entry fees take into account the following items:
-Player Salaries (Keeper costs only for given year) = franchise specific
-Transaction Fees = franchise specific
-Administrative Fee (website) = subject to myfantasyleague.com pricing
-Pre-payment Penalties (dropping a keeper) = 50% of remaining contract
-Weekly “Low Score” Debit = $5
-Rivalry Week Debit = $10
Fees can by reduced by league credits earned during the previous season, which include:
Weekly “Player” Credits = $5
1st Team All-Pro Credits = $5
2nd Team All-Pro Credit = $2.50
Rivalry Week Credits = $10
All the player salaries on your roster shall be locked each year on the day before the NFL regular season begins.
The total of these salaries for that year = Gross Franchise Account Balance.
At the end of the season, the Gross Franchise Account Balance plus all fees/penalties during the season,
less any league credits = Franchise Entry Fee for the following season. (Entry fee can be no less than $150)
The entry fee shall entitle the owner to all franchise privileges, as well as be used to show consent to the rules and regulations of the league,
as outlined in this constitution. Failure of an owner to pay the league fee by the specified deadline will result in the temporary forfeiture of ownership
of that franchise. That franchise will be locked and unable to accumulate points until the fee is paid.
A full accounting of all league fees will be posted on the league website.
After a season ends, each team will receive a balance statement which includes their franchise entry fee for the next season.
Fees are to be sent via mail to the CFO. All fees are non-refundable; and subject to change from season to season.
III. Rules of Play
All rules of play (rosters, draft policy, scoring, etc.) not specifically outlined in this constitution shall be posted
on the league website under the appropriate link.

Owners also have the option to set their rosters for several weeks in advance on the website.
Should an owner fail to set their starting roster they will be charged a $50 penalty.
Failure by an owner to set their starting roster for a second time in a given season, will result in forfeiture of ownership
of their franchise for the remainder of the season. The ownership of their franchise for the remainder of the season
or the future shall be determined by the governing bodies of the league.
IV. Regular Season
Schedule:
League wide round robin for 13 weeks. Week 14 thru 17 for playoffs.
Randomized schedule always set using the previous year’s Fat Bowl participants for a Week 1 matchup.
High
Score/Low Score of the Week:
A running side-bet will take place each week during the regular season.
The team with the most fantasy points scored in a given week (High Score the Week) will be credited $5. The team with the
least fantasy points scored in a given week (Low Score of the Week) will be debited $5. Debits/credits will be applied to
a franchise's entry fee for the following season.
Rivalry
Weeks:
Each team now has one official arch-rival. There will be an automatic wager during the week in which you and your rival go head-to-head.
Winner gets a credit of $10; loser a debit of $10. Amounts will be applied to the following season’s entry fee.
Rivalries are listed on your team page.
KFL All-Pro Team:
The top 2 players per position with the most fantasy points by the end of week 16 will make the KFL All-Pro Team. Owners of 1st team All-Pros (the top overall scoring players per position) will receive $5.00 off the following season’s entry fee. Owners of 2nd team All-Pros (the second highest scoring players per position) will receive $2.50 off the following season’s entry fee.

League Championship is in Week 16
Bloody Mary Divisional Champion vs. Steak Sandwich Divisional Champion
There is no home field advantage bonus for Fat Bowl.
Winnings:
Fat Bowl loser gets their entry fee back (reimbursement applied to entry fee for following season).
League Champion takes the balance of the pot, net of league admin fees.
Tiebreakers:
During the regular season, ties are counted as ties. In the playoffs ties are decided by total yardage.
The starting lineup with the highest total offensive yardage (passing, rushing, receiving) wins.
In the unlikely circumstance that teams are still tied, the winner will be decided by most points from their bench.
On the Week 16 Fat Bowl & Schwag Bowl, should there be a tie, the teams will play again on Week 17 to decide the winner.
VII. SCHWAG BOWL
Simultaneous to the playoffs, there will be consolation bracket for teams finishing the regular season ranked 7th thru 14th.
The winner receives first pick in the next year’s draft, runner up gets 2nd pick, etc.

Game 2 -- Overall #3 seed @ #4 seed
Week

Game 3 -- Winner of Game 1 @ #5 seed
Game 4 -- Winner of Game 2 @ #6 seed
Week
16: SCHWAG BOWL
Winner of Game 3 vs. Winner of Game 4
VIII. Drafts
Determining
Draft Order:
* Winner of the Schwag Bowl consolation playoff receives the #1 selection for only the 1st round of the draft.
* The Fat Bowl winner has the last pick throughout the draft, even if they do not have the highest winning percentage.
* The rest of the teams are placed in order from lowest to the highest, based on the year-end power rankings.
Draft order will be in standard form and remain constant throughout; like the NFL draft.
IX. Salary Cap
League-wide Base Salary Cap = the team with highest keeper/drafted player salary total after the draft, rounded to the nearest dollar.
League-wide Salary Cap will be re-established each year immediately following the draft.
When over the cap, franchise owners cannot make trades or waiver moves until they drop players to get beneath the cap.
X. Keeper Regulations
A. Salaries
Rankings:
Salaries are linked directly to player rankings.
Official KFL Pre-Season Rankings by Salary will be provided prior to the Draft/Pre-Season Signing Period (see below).
Official KFL Post-Season Rankings by Salary will be provided prior to the Post-Season Designation period (see below).
Rankings are by position (QB, RB, etc.). Salaries for non-keepers will rise each year by $1.00.
($0.50 for Pre-Season Signings and $0.50 for Post-Season Signings.)
Though salaries are fixed for a given year, amounts are subject to change for the following year and can be determined by
the governing bodies of the league.
AVB:
Each position is then ranked by Average Base Value: AVB. Specific players are not actually valued, but their ranking spot is.
So, the #1 ranked QB may change year to year, but the #1 QB value will not.
Fixed
Salaries:
These player rankings/salaries will not change until the end of the season.
B. Contracts
Franchise owners can choose to sign up to, but no more than, 5 players whom they have acquired from the draft or free agency.
Owners have the option of signing a player to a 2 or 3 year contract, which will lower their cost.
A team can have no more than 5 keepers at one time.
Executing
Multi-Year Contracts
AVB 1 Yr 2 Yrs 3 Yrs
15 $15.00 $13.50 $12.15
2 Year Salary Formula = AVB – (AVB x 10%) / 3 Year Salary Formula = 2 Year Salary – (2 Year Salary x 10%)
On the Fixed Salary Template, the #1 ranked quarterback’s AVB = 15. In 2005, that player was Peyton Manning.
If you chose to sign Manning for 2 years, his salary would be $13.50 per year. For 3 years, his salary would be $12.15 per year.
Players signed to multi-year contracts automatically stay on your roster and our withheld from the draft until the contract expires.
Players cannot be re-signed or designated once their multi-year contract has expired. They must re-enter the draft.
Should you choose to draft that player again, only then can you re-sign them to a multi-year contract.
Contracts cannot be extended during ownership. Owners will be penalized for dropping players they have under contract by 50%
of the player’s total remaining contract.
Likewise, if a player retires/is injured/become inactive during the contract, you will be equally penalized.
1
Year Contracts:
Players you choose NOT to sign to multi-year contracts will automatically be signed for 1 year and become
free agents after the season.
Manning’s 1 Year Salary is $15.00; equal to his AVB.
Players signed to 1 Year Contracts can be dropped at anytime without penalty;
this does NOT include signed players with only 1 year remaining on their contract.
C. Contract Signing Periods
With the exception of trades, these are the only times during the year when players can be signed to multi-year contracts:
Pre-Season
Signing Period:
Start = immediately after the draft
Deadline = the last day of NFL Pre-Season
This is your opportunity to sign players which you drafted to the maximum length contract (3 yrs) and rookies for up to 4 years.
Rookies can ONLY be signed to 4 year contracts if the player is drafted and you sign them during the Pre-Season Signing Period.
Post-Season
Signing Period:
Start = the end of your team’s season
Deadline = Super Bowl Sunday
This is your opportunity to sign players which you acquired from free agency to the maximum length contract (3 yrs).
During this period, if you have less than 5 players signed as keepers, you will have a final opportunity
to designate other players on your roster that you wish to keep.
Again, you will only be able to sign players acquired from free agency to 3 yrs deals.
All others can only be signed for a maximum of 2 yrs.
Post-Season Player Rankings and Salaries will be sent out following the FAT BOWL.
XI. Trades
Trades for players or draft picks CAN be done at anytime throughout the year, except…
Trade
Deadline:
11:59PM, NOVEMBER 18TH every year. No trades can be made from this date until the FAT BOWL is over,
which officially begins the off-season.
Swapping Keepers:
In the final year of a keeper’s contract, you can elect to trade them for a keeper of equal value*. So though you cannot extend player contracts,
trading keepers with an owner in the same situation and signing them to a new multi-year contract is perfectly fine, as long as its done prior to the
November 18 trade deadline -- or you will lose the keeper to free agency after the season is over.
Should you decide to trade keepers in their final contract year, you will NOT be allowed to reacquire this player via trade or waivers for 1 full year
from the date you trade them.
If you decide to not trade/swap a last year keeper by the trade deadline and let his contract expire, you CAN draft the player the next year and sign
him as a keeper. You just cannot trade a last year keeper and then reacquire him via trade/waivers to resign him.
* Commissioner will approve/not-approve the trades accordingly. If there is a dispute over a trade, a board of director’s majority vote will decide.
Off-Season
Trades:
Players traded during the off-season will not officially be “signed” until the following Pre-Season Signing Period. You can do off-season trades for
multiple players which results in having more than 5 keepers on your roster, however you MUST sign those players to a 2 or 3 year contract during
the next Pre-Season Signing Period.
Trade Contracts:
You will NOT be penalized for trading signed players. You CAN renegotiate multi-year contracts for a player acquired by trade after the trade,
however it is your responsibility to let the commissioner know about it. If you choose not sign the player after the trade, so you can sign this player
during the Post-Season Signing Period, you can only sign the player for a maximum of 2 yrs.
(If you trade for a player who is IR that you plan to keep – you can sign that player to a full 3 year contract which begins the following season.)
Trade Disputes:
Since beauty is in the eye of the beholder, players will always have different values for different owners.
Without any evidence of collusion by the trading parties, the Commissioner has the responsibility to approve all trades.
Furthermore, the league cannot overrule a trade based on the stupidity of others. As long as both teams involved in any given trade
are attempting to benefit from it, then there can be no dispute.
Trades can only be made for other players or draft positions – not for Lakers tickets, etc.
All trades must be approved by the Commissioner.
XII. Free Agency
All un-drafted players picked up from the free agents pool are FREE, and will not be counting against your cap.
All drafted players dropped from rosters during the season will retain their 1 year contract value.
Waivers (Add/Drops) can be done at anytime without commissioner approval.
Waivers are open 24/7 from after the draft thru the end of our season.
XIII. Injured Reserve
There is no Injured Reserve space. There are 15 roster spaces available, one of which is available for, but not limited to,
a player you wish to keep who is inactive.
XIV. Code of Conduct
Owners of franchises and governing bodies are expected to conduct league business in accordance to this constitution, and common rules of fair play. Violations of this code can be subject to penalization, up to and including removal from the league, as determined by the Board of Directors.
XV. Disputes & Amendments
Irresolvable league disputes will be voted on by the five members on the Board of Directors. A majority vote rules.
Commissioner has carte blanche authority to revise the league constitution.
Amendments to the Constitution initiated by the any member of the league other than the Commissioner must be
submitted to the league for approval.
Any amendment (and thus rule change, scoring change, etc.) can be made by two of the three criteria:
1) Commissioner approval*
2) Board of Directors majority vote*
3) 51% general ownership approval
*An amendment that is approved by criteria 1 and 2 can be vetoed by a majority vote of the general ownership.
